I was lucky enough to have three special photographic events occur recently that I wanted to share with you.
As you know, last year I had some photos selected to be part of a touring exhibition called "No Britain Is An Island" organised by the lovely people at The Photographic Angle. Well, last month I was asked to submit some more photos for a new exhibition called "A Splash Of Colour", so I duly obliged and was then contacted by TPA to ask if I would give a short written interview for one of their blog posts.
Well you know me - I could never turn down an offer like that - so I agreed and sent them a link to this site so that they could get a sense of the sorts of shots I take. At the same time I pointed out that there were several shots taken at one of their recent exhibitions in Farnborough in my May set from this year.
The blogger loved the pictures and asked if they could do a blog post with them, which of course I agreed to. The resulting blog post can be found HERE.
So then the following week, two fab things happened . . .
Firstly I had a nature image exhibited in the local Borough Council annual photography competition - I didn't win but was chuffed to be selected and exhibited. I went along to the event and interviewed the winners for the local Residents Network which you can hear HERE.
Then on Saturday, the new Splash of Colour exhibition opened and my interview with TPA was posted on their Blog HERE. D and Me visited the opening day in Croydon and I was chuffed to see 5 of my images there - although one of them was upside down and we had to take it down and re-hang the right way up!
This exhibition is now touring parts of the UK with a whole range of colourful shots from all over the world. Click HERE for the list of exhibitions, dates and locations. Below are a couple of shots of mine and some other examples to wet your appetite . . .
And the cherry on the cake . . . they've now asked me to speak at a forthcoming event and present my thoughts on my photographs.
Date and location still to be arranged but I'll keep you posted.
